This guest blog comes from Rachel from Equanimity Counselling* who recently visited ‘Where Inspirations Blooms

Where Inspiration Blooms brings together a community of crafters, growers, artists & wellbeing coaches to feed mind, body & soul.

Rachel attended a watercolour workshop there in January and contacted us to share her experience with us…

Over to Rachel….

‘Where Inspirations Blooms’ offer a fabulous collection of arts and crafts workshops for all ages including family bushcraft, teen knitting and pottery throwing, based in their studio and gardens in Chartridge, Chesham.

I discovered them whilst browsing for a gift idea for my sister, wanting to choose an experience we could enjoy together.   We chose a watercolour workshop which focussed on creating a specific image, and was said to be laid back and suitable for beginners.

Booking was easy, and when I contacted them with a query they were quick to respond.
Refreshments were provided and we were also warmly welcomed to bring bubbles and nibbles for our table.  Our tutor, Jay, was a wonderful mix of friendly and professional, on hand to help out were needed but also to encourage giving things a go in our own way.
It was a small group and everything was provided – paper, paints, brushes, tuition, refreshments, and even a mount to frame up the painting before we went home.
After a 2 hours lesson we had all produced something we were proud of, and having never done any ‘proper’ painting before I am happy to say it was accessible to all and lots of fun.
I’d happily try another workshop there, and would recommend it to everyone.
