Excellent for walking, cycling, adventures and family fun. We visited Wendover for the first time and had a lovely day. There is a fantastic playground with lots to keep children off all ages entertained. Plus there are designated den building areas which are fantastic! In the warmer months you can book private BBQ areas ( £32 per session) providing you with your very own private space to enjoy the woodland surroundings with friends and family :) but they also have 6 free BBQ stands but this is on a first-come first-serve basis.Parking costs £1.60 for 2 hours, £3.20 for 4 hours or £5.90 for an all day stay. If you go to Wendover wWoods dont forget to check out the Gruffallo Trail new for 2014 :) https://www.chilternchatter.com/features/kids/1535-the-gruffalo-comes-to-wendover-woods

We went to Wendover Woods yesterday for the first time and will be heading back there soon. The children had a wonderful time in the playground before wandering through the woods, discovering dens and creating their own imaginary games. The large picnic/barbecue areas look like an ideal spot to meet up with friends on a sunny day. There is also a cafe which we didn't get to but it looked popular! We plan on exploring the walking trail (approx, 4 miles) and family cycling trail (approx. 6 miles) on future visits. You have to pay for parking (we paid £3.20 for 4 hours) but otherwise a great accessible amenity for all the family and given the beautiful weather it wasn't too crowded which made it all the more pleasant.
