TOP 5 PARKS FOR SUMMERTIME FUN!

AquadromeCASSIOBURY PARK IN WATFORD

This is first and foremost a beautiful park, but it also has a splash park for the kids, which on a hot summer’s day is a blast. Plus it has a lovely playground with a little train that takes the children on a short trip through the woods, which makes for great photo opportunities. BLACK PARK NEAR IVER

With a lovely new woodland playground for the kids and the café right next to it, this is a must see. Fun for the whole family, this park also has a ‘Go Ape’ adventure playground which will entertain older children for hours. WENDOVER WOODS

This is a wonderful place to explore and let the imagination take over, for both kids and adults alike! The forest has an array of paths for walking, biking, horse-back riding and a fitness trail. There are loads of picnic spots and even some where you can hire a BBQ. Alternatively the café in the woods serves up great refreshments. BURNHAM BEECHES

A natural conservation are set in woodlands with an explorer trail which you can follow in order to find sculptures made in wood. Make a day of it and bring a picnic and some games as the wide open spaces makes for a great day out. If you aren’t the picnic type the café there does do lovely food. AQUADROME, RICKMANWORTH 

Start with a nice long walk around the lake, making sure to take time out to feed the various waterbirds. Then explore the big playground and finally finish up your wonderful day out with a drink and quick bite in the café, where they serve some scrummy food.

All the above parks are free however most of them charge for parking, so remember to bring some change for the meter! They are all family friendly with baby changing facilities and cafes.
