The White Oak

We had originally planned to go to The Three Oaks for Sunday lunch but they were fully booked so we decided to try their sister pub – The White Oak. As we love the Three Oaks our expectations were high, and thankfully The White Oak met them all. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant has a modern feel, and it had a nice buzzy atmosphere for a lunchtime. We were there as a family and the kids menu had plenty of choice for my 7 year old, my 9 year old decided to choose from the main menu and the waitress was very helpful advising how the fish was normally cooked and suggesting that we may want it slightly firmer for my daughter. All of the food was delicious, portion size was perfect so we had enough room for dessert The fish was cooked perfectly for my daughter and she devoured it. I must confess that I love desserts and I think I have found my all time favourite here at the White Oak – their brioche doughnuts are to die for. We’ll definitely be back again.
