We've intended going to The Three Oaks before now but could never get a table when we wanted one - usually because we left it too late to phone up! It seems to be a busy location and for good reason....The attention to detail was evident right from the start when I made the booking on the phone and was carried through the service on the evening itself. There was lots of choice on the set menu but we went for the a la carte which was too tempting to ignore. Our starters were a little slow in appearing but we were given a complementary salad to share while we waited and the food was fabulous. The dessert menu looked good but we decided to share a cheeseboard with a couple of glasses of port which was a fitting end to a delicious meal. We were astonished when the bill came and found that they had refunded our bottle wine in recognition of the delay earlier on. We hadn't even complained so the manager was clearly keeping an eye on everything and acting to address any issues quickly. A sign of a well run restaurant. We will definitely be back!

I’ve been to The Three Oaks a few times for dinner and can honestly say it’s a fab place to go for a great meal out. The service is great with friendly and knowledgeable staff. When I’ve been previously it’s been for an evening meal but today I went for lunch with a friend, and I can confirm that it’s a great place to go for both lunch and dinner. They have a great value set menu at lunchtime, £12 for 2 courses and £15 for three courses. The food is delicious, and good value for money. The outside garden looked lovely to eat in or to just enjoy a relaxing drink, although it wasn’t quite warm enough to be outside today, maybe next time ☺ Would highly recommend a visit to The Three Oaks and I look forward to my next meal at this gem of a local restaurant/pub.
(I've never been with kids so unfortunately am unable to give a true score hence the 3 rating.)
By far the best place to eat locally

We went here a few weeks ago for my birthday and had the most amazing dining experience. Everything from start to finish was perfect. When I booked they asked if it was a special occasion and I mentioned it was my birthday. Upon arrival my husband and I were given a free glass of bubbles (nice touch :)) The food was delicious - to me this is fine dining at its best but at a reasonable price. When it came to the desserts we were feeling pretty stuffed :) but the waitress recommend the Elderflower marinated English strawberries which were amazing and a good lighter choice. I was also given a free dessert for my birthday and they had written Happy Birthday in chocolate. I honestly cant fault them and would highly recommend them to any foodie. In my opinion this is definitely a foodie place rather than a drinking pub. Go, you wont be disappointed! PS I have rated it 3 out of 5 for child friendly but in all honesty i dont know as havent been with my kids (it's too nice for them :))
