We popped along to The Ivy House for Sunday lunch last weekend. It was a last minute decision to go out for lunch so we were pleasantly surprised that they had a table free at short notice. The place was pretty busy when we arrived and think it would be best to book in advance to avoid disappointment next time!
There was no children's menu but we were told that we could order a child's portion of anything on the menu. The Sunday roast was delicious as was the fish and chips. The portions were very generous, with the child's portion almost the same size as the adults! My son thought it was amazing, although he somehow managed to still find room for dessert :)
We'll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Ivy House for fabulous Sunday lunches.

Enjoyed a fab Sunday lunch at The Ivy House. The food was delicious, we ordered a variety of meals - the roast was great, as was the fish and chips, burgers too! The service was spot on, attentive enough but not overbearing. Looking forward to going back again soon.
Fine dining!

We've lived in the area for over 3 years and have never been to the Ivy House. I think that the road has always put us off as it's on the A413. We fancied popping out for lunch as I had the day off and due to time constraints we decided to try The Ivy House as it was on the way home. I cant believe that we haven't been to The Ivy House before - we have been missing out! It's a lovely cosy pub with a Farrow & Ball feel to it. We were slightly worried as we had our noisy toddler with us and there weren't any other children in the pub at the time (it was a Friday lunchtime) but the staff were lovely and didn't seem to bat an eye lid at our noisy companion :) The food was really tasty and very reasonably priced. To start we had a selection of freshly made breads which were amazing, and for mains a burger (also freshly made) with chips and a yummy shrimp salad with chips plus we both had drinks. The bill came to £30 for 2. You can either eat in the bar area or there is a restaurant. Apparently the pub gets quite busy at the weekend so it's worth booking. We checked and they do have a children's menu so we plan to go back for a Sunday lunch soon. We will definitely be back, the food is top notch and the staff very welcoming.
