Sharon Pembroke (location: Jordans)

Our two year old son has been looked after by Sharon and her husband, Mark, for 10 months now and we couldn't recommend them more highly. Sharon and Mark are wonderfully warm, caring, honest and down to earth people who provide a happy, safe, home from home environment for the children. Being parents of two teenagers themselves and, having done childminding for years, they are hugely experienced and relaxed. They've seen it all! They have a great daily and weekly routine, taking the children out to local clubs and activities as well as on local trips to the village green, park and shop which gives the children a real sense of daily life and the opportunity to be a part of the village community. Sharon sends us daily text messages part way through the day to let us know how our little one is getting on and writes a daily report in a notebook. It's lovely being able to picture what they're getting up to. Whenever we drop off/pick up our son, Sharon and Mark always have time to chat and show a genuine interest in the children and their development and are proactive in asking for feedback on ways in which they could improve their service. Our son often doesn't want to come home at the end of the day because he's been having such a great time. Sharon and Mark feel like an extended part of our family and we're very grateful for their support.

Sharon and Mark provide a fantastic service. We were unfortunate enough to have a very very bad experience at a local nursery where our son attended for 2 days having done settling in days over a period of a few months! It left us in a position where we were urgently seeking childcare with an immediate start. Luckily enough we were just in time to get our 10 month old son in with Sharon and Mark and we truly believe we could not have found better care for him had we been looking for years! They provide an outstanding home from home service and since starting with them our baby has grown in confidence, become an early walker and is happy every day I collect him. They attend clubs daily with the children and friends of mine who have seen them at group comment on how happy all the children are and how well mark and Sharon engage while they are there. On the few days sunny days we have had so far this year they have been for walks around the village and out into their beautiful garden where the children can play outside safely and enjoy the weather. I also benefit from receiving a daily text from Sharon while i am at work just letting me know all is well and how lunch went!!! We have also had a few issues with our sons night time sleeping habits and both Sharon and Mark have been so supportive and encouraging in helping us address these. If I ask them to try out something different in regard to day time sleep they have done this without question and I fully believe this helped us crack bedtime!!! We both feel very comfortable with Sharon and Mark and they are so approachable we go to work knowing our son is being so well looked after and knowing that each day we drop him off he will be playing and engaging with other children and having a lovely time. Having a husband and wife team really works. With two of them there it enables all the children's needs to be met at all times. I would thoroughly recommend Sharon and Mark to anyone looking for childcare. I fully hope that they will be childminding our son until the day we must send him to school as I know he will continue to thrive with them

My son Alfie has been with Sharon and Mark since he was 10 months old. He is very happy, content and always enjoys his time at Sharon's. After having a couple of negative experience with local nannies, I literally went through the entire Ofsted local page and luckily found Sharon. She is very caring, honest, sensible and professional. I can not recommend her help enough! I also found a husband and wife team benefits my son enormously.

My son has been cared for by Sharon and Mark for over a year and a half, he is so settled and happy and really enjoys going there. The whole Pembroke family are lovely and Sharon and Mark create such a warm welcoming environment that I have no concerns leaving my son in the mornings. I was a very worried mummy and felt guilty and nervous leaving my son to return to work, both Sharon and Mark reassured me and the daily texts about what my son is doing and how he is make it much easier. My son enjoys lovely healthy food, varied activities and a brilliant home from home feeling. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Having used various nurseries and childcare services in the past, I can say wholeheartedly that Sharon and Mark are fantastic childminders and we are very happy leaving our son in their care, knowing he is safe and very well looked after. They create a happy home from home environment and our son is very content and alway's looks forward to spending time with Sharon and Mark and their family. I would recommend the Pembroke's to anyone who is looking for a great childminding team in this area.
