A few weeks ago we decided to try out the Go Ape Treetop Adventure+ at Black Park. Having enjoyed the junior treetop adventure a few years ago when the kids were younger, we were looking forward to new more exciting challenges.
The Adventure+ course is aimed at children over 1.2m, which was perfect for my 10 and 13 year old. There are 4 different routes you can take on the course all with different obstacles and challenges from cargo nets to traverse across, tunnels to crawl through, wooden planks to walk all suspended high amongst the treetops with an exhilarating zipwire at the end to bring you back to the ground. We booked a 1 hour time slot which allowed us to complete each of the routes, which for me was plenty although the kids could have happily spent all day going round and round. I chose to join the kids in the treetops, however you can also supervise them from the ground if you’re not a fan of heights.
Go Ape have new safety measures due to COVID-19, including additional hand washing stations, ensuring social distancing by limiting the number of people in each session, more details are on the website. The fact that you are outside and able to maintain socially distant from other groups was reassuring and felt very safe.
Treetop Adventure+ is a great experience for the whole family. With different courses to challenge all ages and abilities you definitely won’t be bored. It would make a fun birthday party, especially with it being outdoors and limited numbers for the sessions. It’s not the cheapest activity at £24 per person but you can get 10% off using our offer code here.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend Treetop Adventure+ and we’re already planning another visit during school holidays!
