We have an exciting opportunity for you to come and join the team at Seer Green Pre-School.

 

Pre-School Assistant

Core 3 hours a week – the day of these hours is negotiable between Monday and Friday.  Additional hours available in line with Pre-School requirements.

 

Start date of the position would be 8th January 2018.

 

The Pre-School Assistant is called upon at short notice when other staff are not available for work e.g. due to sickness. Therefore, by virtue of the role the hours are variable. This member of staff may also be asked to work at events such as Sports Day when all staff are needed. There would be the possibility to train and become a permanent member of Pre-School staff. This could suit someone looking to start back at work, considering training to work with children or someone wanting to become more involved in the community.

 

No qualifications are required.

 

 

 

About the Pre-School

Our Pre-School is dedicated to providing a stimulating, fun and evolving environment for 2 ½ to 4 year olds, learning through play. It is a busy and happy place to be with the aim of preparing the children for school. Staff are required to interact with the children in many different ways including: supporting the younger children as they start Pre-School; talking and playing with children; making observations on each child’s development; and assisting in creative activities. A flexible, positive attitude and enjoyment of children are essential qualities. The existing team is friendly, professional and very committed. A supportive attitude is taken to other relevant Pre-School training.  The Pre-School is run on weekdays and sessions are run between 08:50 to 11.50 and 12:10 to 15:10.
