Summer time treat - LVL lashes

A few weeks ago, I asked my friend if she'd has lash extensions as her lashes were looking great. She said that she'd been to Oxygen Hair & Beauty and had their LVL (Length, Volume Lift) Lashes treatment. As we're going away soon, I thought that I would treat myself and give them a try. I called up the salon and booked a patch test - this needs to be done 48 hours before the treatment to make sure you wouldn't react to any of the perming lotions, serums or tints. The following week I booked in for the LVL treatment. Steph, the therapist cleaned my eye area then put a shield over my lower lashes to make sure they were protected from the perming solution. If you've had lash extensions you'll be familiar with these. Then you close your eyes over the shield and you keep your eyes closed for the rest of the 45-minute treatment. Steph combed out my lashes and put silicone shields on my upper lids. These shields determine the level of lift and there are three options to choose from: most dramatic (small shield), average (medium) and least dramatic (large). I decided to go with the medium. She gently pulled my lashes up onto the shield, and applied a perming lotion to the roots. After leaving it on to set for around 10 minutes, she applied a neutraliser to the roots for five minutes, then applied the tint to darken my lashes creating the appearance of mascara. The last step was a moisturising serum, which helps the lashes come off the shield. Then I could open my eyes and look at the results. I honestly was shocked at the results - they look amazing, I'm really happy with them and hope that they last. Steph recommended coming back in 4 weeks to get the lashes tinted. The curl should last for around 8 weeks. It cost £60, which is fairly expensive but definitely worth it for a special occasion or if you're going on holiday and cant be bothered to wear mascara.
