The Stay and Play, a new soft play café, catering for young children and their parents & carers, is launching this weekend in the heart of Chesham. Designed with families in mind, The Stay and Play, located on the High Street, will open it’s doors for the first time at 10am on Saturday 16th November.

stayandplayframeThe Stay and Play offers a bespoke soft play frame suitable for children 0-8 years old with its own baby area, allowing adults a chance to relax and enjoy a well deserved coffee and bite to eat. The cafe will serving a wide selection of cakes, biscuits and quiche made by a local Pâtisière, as well as homemade soup, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and a hot ‘Plat du jour’. The café will have a buggy park and there are plans to open up a sensory garden in the spring.

Heather Baker-Swinburn from The Stay & Play commented: “We will have gluten and dairy free options and are sourcing all our ingredients locally, including using a variety of different breads from Darvells bakery in Chesham and making use of our fantastic local markets. We use high quality ingredients and our coffee is sourced from a select group of coffee growers who are part of the Rainforest Alliance. Our loose leaf tea is ethically sourced and offers our customers something a little bit different. For the little ones there will be child friendly sandwich options, child sized portions, childrens tapas – and importantly our own home made completely natural baby food.”

Charges for the play frame are:
£3.00 for the 1st child
£2 for the 2nd child
Babies under a year are free

Opening times are:
Mon-fri 9.30-5.30pm (3.30-5.30pm is open to school age children)
Saturday 10am-3pm
Sunday Private Parties

The Stay & Play is available for hire for birthday parties and will be available in the evening for private functions.
