NEW POP UP RESTAURANT IN THE CHILTERNS
We were very excited to read about Duende, a brand new pop up restaurant in The Chilterns, started by Tim Zekki, a chef, foodie and finalist in the UKTV Gary Rhodes’ Local Food Hero. Tim has spent many years as a chef in Italian restaurants, and later specialising in tapas and Mediterranean food, with a particular interest in the food of his homeland, Cyprus.
The first Duende pop up will be in the heart of Chesham at the old Temperance Hall in Chesham Old Town, (otherwise known as The Little Theatre, in Church Lane).
Ten to twelve little tapas dishes with influences from all around the Med will come in a relaxed procession, so you can enjoy your company and and don’t have to worry about what to order. Veggies and gluten dodgers well catered for too, there will be both hot and cold dishes, and there’s a dessert – yay! It’s £27 a head, and cash only.
In Chesham it’s BYO, with no corkage 🙂 The Little Missenden pop ups are not the usual BYO – The Crown Inn will be selling their wines, beers and other drinks.
The dates are:
Temperance Hall in Chesham Old Town
Friday 18 July & Saturday 19 July
Friday 25 July & Saturday 26 July
Little Missenden Village Hall
Saturday 2nd, from 7.30 onwards
The pub garden of The Crown Inn at Little Missenden (If the weather decides to do its terribly British thing, it will decamp to the village hall opposite)
Sunday 3rd August from 3pm
