A new initiative is helping local parents get access to the training they need to start a business, by offering FREE childcare while they attend the workshop. According to Buckinghamshire Business First, the county is home to the highest number of Entrepreneurs in Britain. Now, business-minded parents can start getting involved too.
Mum-of-two Caroline Bartholomew, 36, from Amersham is launching the initiative. She lectures in Digital Marketing at Amersham & Wycombe College and also works with start-up Entrepreneurs at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.
She said: “Digital Marketing is a growing area and the fastest way to get a business off the ground, but parents are missing out on the learning opportunities due to lack of childcare. I want to remove that barrier, which is why I’ve organised my training workshop to have childcare included on the premises. That way, stay at home parents get access to the digital marketing techniques they need to grow their business, while their children play safely at the same time.”
The Digital Marketing Workshops take place in Chesham Library and The Amersham School.
Children are supervised in the children’s section of the library, by Childcare assistants provided by Chiltern Childcare
