I have two daughters currently enrolled at Maltman’s Green School in Gerrards Cross. I am also a consultant on Gifted Education and am a published author of three books on the subject of creative thinking. I teach in a number of schools and was immediately struck by the warm and friendly attitude of the staff at Maltman’s, where morale is high and someone is always willing to help. After many years of experience in schools, I truly believe that when staff is happy, pupils are happy! (I have never heard my children say that they didn’t want to go to school!)
The school caters for every child and has a level to suit children of all abilities. This has been a focus for the headmistress who is keen to offer a wide variety of activities for all girls. For example, there are top squads for the extremely talented, but also clubs for girls who just want to take part. This gives everyone a chance to take advantage of what is on offer. The school are continuously looking for ways to enrich the pupils in ways that stretch beyond normal curriculum- for example, participating in the 02 Arena Young Voices, enjoying willow making workshops where the final sculptures embellish the headmistress’s garden, Play in a Day and many more.
As we are now coming to a time where we will unfortunately have to move on, I am finding it difficult to find any school that can compare with the well rounded education and unbelievable facilities that this prep school has to offer. We chose Maltman’s because we believed that our girls would be given every chance to succeed here. Maltman’s has greatly surpassed our expectations. Through exploration of the outstanding breadth of activities offered, we have discovered talents in our daughters that we would have never known existed. They are well rounded, confident, well mannered and respectful. I am confident that they have been prepared in every way to take the next step into senior school, succeeding both in and out of the classroom.
This is a truly fun and outstanding school!
