Sabuhi Gard has been a national newspaper journalist for almost 20 years, in 2009 she re-located from West London to South Bucks, she currently lives in Seer Green, Beaconsfield with husband and 4-year old son Alexander.

In 2014, she was inspired by an event on Valentine’s Day to write her debut children’s story about her family pet, tabby cat Jerry which is available to pre-order here.
SabuhiGardSabuhi has kindly shared with us her favourite places to go and what the area has to offer.

The Royal Saracens Head, Beaconsfield Old Town
Beaconsfield Old Town is only a short drive from Seer Green and it is an amazing pub, particularly if you love a glorious Sunday roast, excellent food and brilliant staff. I recently threw my husband’s 40th birthday party here.
The-Royal-Saracens-HeadOdds Farm Park
A real favourite of mine and my son Alexander as there are just so many indoor and outdoor activities to do; there is an indoor “play barn” so that toddlers and children can let off steam, parents and children can also bottle feed lambs, feed goats and ride on electric tractors.
An extremely grand setting once infamous for the Profumo scandal in the 1960s! I go there quite a lot with my family as it is only 20 minute or so drive from Seer Green and I have National Trust membership. It is a great place to go as Cliveden, hold a lot of children-friendly activities eg a Halloween Trail or Easter Egg Hunt.
I am lucky enough to have a season ticket for Bekonscot which saves on the entry fees. I once went twice in one week so the membership pays for itself. It has recently reopened after the Winter break with some new ride-ons – “Cat in the Hat” and “Postman Pat” which Alexander loves.
