Ride Chartridge, Chesham’s annual cycling sportive will take place this year on Sunday 14th May 2023. There are three routes: 16km family ride, 50km & 100km.

All routes provide an excellent way to enjoy the local scenery, meet new riders and raise money for Chartridge Primary School.  In addition to the cycling, there will be a variety of food and drink options available along the route, as well as a finish line event with BBQ, bar and other activities to enjoy!

  • The Family Ride:

Already regarded as one of most family friendly events in the region, this year’s edition will also include a guided cycle event for children, called ‘The Family Ride’. Taking in ten miles of beautiful local countryside, the route will be fully signed and include a feed station.

  • The Red Run

The ‘Red Run’ (50KM) is a relaxed and entertaining ride that will suit all abilities and can be ridden on mountain bikes or hybrids – so no need to rush out and buy an expensive new road bike, (unless you so desire!). This route will be hilly and provides a fantastic introduction to sportive-riding.

  • The Black Run

The ‘Black Run’ (100KM) is a dramatic ‘modern-century’ through the Chiltern hills. This route will provide the best experience for riders on road-bikes of mixed abilities. An excellent challenge that most riders will be able to achieve providing they put in regular training. This will be a great opportunity to test yourself.

Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just looking for a fun day out with the family, Ride Chartridge is the perfect event for you
