Higginson Park & Playground, Marlow

Updated

The park is the principal open space in Marlow. It is located on the High Street and yet it also benefits from access to open countryside and a superb location on the River Thames. The park has a large children's playground, indoor and outdoor catering and public toilets. Car parking is available at Pound Lane, a turning off the High Street at the main gates to the park.

This is a lovely big playground. I went there today with my little one and she loved it. There's lots to do and definitely good for children of all ages - part of it was in the shade which is perfect when it's really hot. The cafe next to it looks really nice - we didnt go in but it was busy with lots of people sitting outside. We didn't have time but you could always combine a park visit and a walk along the river. We parked in the Waitrose car park at the top of Marlow (think I paid £1.50 or £2 for 3 hours parking). Lovely day out!

I love Marlow and this park & playground is fab. It's located on The Thames in the town centre so it's perfect for a play and then we headed to Pizza Express on the High Street for some lunch. The playground itself is big so there are loads of things to keep the kids entertained. There is a cafe right next door do if you don't fancy walking up the road you could grab a bite to eat there. We parked at the car park in Pound Lane and the rates were very reasonable - when we went it cost £3 for up to 6 hours parking.
