Hart & Magpies

We went for an early supper here at the weekend with our children and had a very nice meal. The Hart & Magpies is just off the A355 but this shouldnt out you off. It's the perfect location for a walk in the Hodgemore Woods on Bottrells Lane, plus it is wellie, dog and child friendly! The climbing frame in the pub garden is a bonus, as the children can entertain themselves whilst waiting for the food. There is a pub dog called Scrumpy, who is very popular with the children. The food is good, perfect for a family meal.

We really like this pub, especially since they have installed a massive climbing frame complete with a slide and climbing wall in the beer garden! The kids are happy to go off and play and we can have a drink in peace ( what more could you want :)) Every time we have eaten here we have really enjoyed the food - its reasonably priced and generous portions. The fish and chips are fantastic. The pub has a resident dog called Scrumpy who is very friendly and they welcome all dogs. This pub is also close to Hodgemore Woods so perfect if you fancy a walk in the woods followed by drinks / food.
