The Wild Strawberry Café at Peterley Manor Farm
Oooh we love, love, love The Wild Strawberry Café at Peterley Manor Farm. It’s a rustic farm cafe in a mongolian yurt serving up homegrown, seasonal fare.
We popped in mid week for a quick cuppa and to have a nose around. It was busy when we went, but we managed to get a table inside, although there is seating outside too with lots of hay bales for the kids to climb over ☺
The menu is simple and reasonably priced. Breakfast is served from 9am until 11.30am with prices range from £4.50 to £6.25 and lunch from 12 until 3pm (menu’s below – plus they have a daily specials board).
For children they offer “The Little Strawberry Picnic Basket” for £6, which consists of a freshly made farmhouse sandwich, handmade crisps, fresh fruit pot, cookie of the day plus an organic ‘Pip’ juice carton. The cakes on the counter looked divine……next time, next time ☺
Whilst you’re there you can also Pick Your Own – we’ve done this before with the kids and they LOVED it. There is a farm shop which we briefly visited to buy some fruit – we cheated as we were running late for the school run and so had to make a quick dash for it.
If you haven’t been before, Peterley Manor Farm is a MUST and would make a lovely day out.
