‘Tis the time of giving and some of us may be feeling the pinch this year more than ever! Regardless of your financial position giving a gift that involves thought, time and effort surely means more than going to the shop and handing over a crust for this year’s latest gadget that in a few months’ time will be totally dated and left on the shelf like an unwanted mouldy macaroon. It’s getting the balance right, and perhaps adjusting to the situation we find ourselves, that is perhaps the most important thing. This year my friends are receiving homemade gifts. In school the children and I have had lots of fun making yummy edible Christmas gifts and I would like to share with you some of those delightful items that we have lovingly created:
Peppermint and Orange Creams: click here for the recipe.
Apple and Cranberry Mincemeat: click here for the recipe.
Chocolate Truffles: click here for the recipe.
When creating your masterpieces the recipes below will ensure their yumminess – the packaging will give your gifts the Wow factor. Presentation is the icing on the cake!
Hopefully the pictures provided will help give you some ideas of how to package your yummy made-with-love gifts.
Wishing all Chiltern Chatter readers a very happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
