If you’re looking for something a bit different to do with your children over the summer holidays (that won’t cost a small fortune) then we may have the perfect solution.
On Friday 2nd August and the 23rd of August we are holding our Family Picnic Days, where for only £5 a head (kids under 1 are free) you can bring a blanket, a picnic and your friends to enjoy a day of outdoor play, crafts and family activities in an acre of beautiful countryside.
We’ll have some things for the children to do including storytelling in The Tipi, a mud kitchen, hay bales, nature weaving, baby and toddler toys and a natural scavenger hunt. We’ve also arranged for some additional paid for workshops including flower crown making, pom pom garlands, bug hunting and making clay impressions. These additional workshops will be released for booking on our website in July.
But the main idea is that the children spend the day outside in the fresh air, using their imaginations, climbing hay bales, and playing with their friends!
Facilities on the day will include a mini café area with limited refreshments (tea, coffee & herbal teas, ice-creams, ice-lollies and organic fresh fruit and veg), baby changing room, nursing rocking chair, bathroom facilities and free wifi.
Spaces will be limited to prevent overcrowding so no need to worry about too many people! Tickets must be booked in advance.
The event will run, even if it’s raining! So do feel free to bring your own gazebo, tent, rain shelter or wellies if it looks damp!
