Create your own, unique Christmas Wreath
Come and have a go at making your very own Christmas Wreath for your home using natural materials foraged from Bucks Country Parks.

Have fun crafting by a fire in the woods! This event is outside so wrap up warm, bring a hot drink and join in the festive fun. Christmas hats and jumpers are welcome! The workshop takes place in a private area of woodland in the park and we will be following covid guidelines .See more details below.

Meeting place: Black Pines Camp - head towards the main Lakeside café on the opposite side of the lake to the car park and follow signs towards the private woodland (15 minute walk from public car park).

FAQs

How is the workshop following government COVID-19 guidelines?

Persons deemed to be shielding or living with someone deemed to be shielding as per government guidance are not to partake in the set up and running of the session.

If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 do not attend the workshop, self-isolate and get tested in line with the latest Government Guidance.

Do not attend the workplace or site if your family who you live with has any Covid-19 symptoms.

Attendees that live in an area under tier 3 restrictions unfortunately will be unable to participate in this workshop.

Socially distanced seating outdoors around the campfire (under a tarp) at Black Pine’s Camp (Private Forest School area located in Black Park Country Park).

Should the weather be unfavourable, additional tarp / a partial move for some under the decking area may be required

Each person attending the workshops will be provided with a tray of equipment on arrival. This equipment will be cleaned with a DEW antiviral product both before and after each workshop.

Hand gel, anti-viral wipes and spray will be readily available during the sessions.

No sharing of seats, equipment or tools will be required for the duration of the session.

No toilet provision will be provided – advised to use Country Park’s public toilets on way to and from Black Pine’s Camp.

Social distancing will be maintained at 2m. Where deemed necessary, staff will wear masks if required to enable them to socially distance at 1m to ensure safe running of the workshop.

Attendants welcome to wear masks but as session will be outdoors and 2m distance maintained from those outside of households it is not compulsory to wear mask.

Each workshop will be led by one member of staff with a maximum of 5 members of the public attending (adhering to rule of 6 required in all three tier levels).

We will have personal details of all attending through Eventbrite booking system to adhere to COVID track and trace rules.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Suitable for ages 16 only. BC reserve the right to refuse anyone who turns up for a session who is under 16 years old. Under 18s must be accompanied by a full-paying adult.

When do I need to arrive?

Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to park up and walk to Black Pines Camp (15 mins walk) ready to start the session.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is available. All those booked onto the workshop who plan to park their car for the duration of the session will be required to pay for parking in the P&D public car park in Black Park Country Park.

What do I need to bring to the event?

We won't be providing any hot drinks or snacks but you're welcome to bring your own. The café sells hot and cold lunches, snacks and drinks should anyone wish to buy food/drink on site. Please wrap up warm and wear suitable footwear as this event is outside in a woodland setting.

What's the refund policy?

A full refund will be issued for cancellations made a minimum of 7 days prior to the event date. Refunds will not be issued for late cancellations or no-shows. We will issue a refund to anyone not able to attend due to showing symptoms of COVID-19, testing positive or having to self isolate.

In what situations could the event be cancelled?

BC reserve the right to cancel / postpone a session last minute due to the minimum number of bookings not met / adverse weather conditions forecast. If weather is deemed unsafe (extreme cold / wet / wind) then the session(s) will be cancelled and full refunds will be given via Eventbrite. We will still go ahead in wet weather unless conditions are extreme or unsafe, an open shelter will be provided in the case of rain.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You can either bring your printed ticket or show your eticket on your mobile phone on arrival.
