Chiltern Open Air Museum's Terrific Tuesdays are back this August on both a Tuesday and a Thursday! To keep it safe and fun for everyone this summer they will run in a different format to normal. Every Tuesday and Thursday there will be a trail and the chance to have a go at some natural art. You can explore the museum site say hello to our goats, sheep, chickens and cows, and find out what's growing in the allotment and gardens. Our adventure playground is open and so is our woodland walk.
On some Tuesdays and Thursdays there will also be storytelling, pond dipping, minibeast hunting and other additional activities that need to be pre-booked and may have an additional charge - more details of this will be coming to the Museum's website soon.
The Museum is a large 45 acre outdoor site with plenty of space to socially distance. There are lots of hand washing stations around the site and the toilets are open. There are lots of picnic tables and space to spread out a blanket. Our Village Kitchen will be open selling hot and cold drinks, ice creams, cakes and snacks. Our Café will remain closed.
We're not able to open many of our buildings but the doors are all open so you can take a peek. To compensate for this during the whole of July and August we will be offering admission for just £5 per person! Tickets must be pre-booked on the Museum's website where you can choose an available entry time. Entry slots are limited to ensure everyone can enjoy a nice and safe visit.
Things are continually changing so please make sure you check the museum’s website or social media channels before visiting.
