Event Details

An exhibition of work created by current and former patients at Sue Ryder Nettlebed, during their Art Therapy sessions at the hospice.  The work is inspired by the theme of ‘holidays’ and includes a number of paintings and sketches.   Carley Brandwood, Senior Nursing Assistant: “Art therapy offers patients a chance to learn new skills and can provide a distraction from their illness.  Patients often comment on how invigorated they feel at the end of each session, being engrossed in art can leave patients feeling calm and relaxed.” Sue Ryder Nettlebed offers a range of support, from inpatient care in their 12-bed hospice to a 7-day community nursing service and day hospice.
