Head to the Roald Dahl Museum to celebrate Roald Dahl’s birthday! Enjoy storytelling, talks, trails and craft activities with a James and the Giant Peach twist.

Join in with our BRICKLIVE build and help us assemble a giant peach of a mosaic using over 24,000 toy bricks, create a peachy song with our roving musician Owen, peek behind the scenes on an archive tour, or head out with a Museum guide to explore Roald Dahl Country. 

Times: 11am until 5pm 

Cost: Museum entry applies. Please note some activities have an additional cost, see below. Activity prices do not include Museum entry which you will also need to book to take part in the acitivities. 

Please note, everybody needs to purchase Museum admission for this event, even if you have visited the Museum in the last 12 months. You can’t use 12 month re-entry tickets on this day.

BRICKLIVE Mosaic Making

• Times: 11.15am, 11.45am, 12.15pm, 12.45pm, 1.15pm, 1.45pm, 2.15pm, 2.45pm, 3.15pm, 3.45pm
• Cost: £1 per person
• Age: suitable for 5 years. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult. Participating children under 5 years will still need to pay.
• Type of workshop: craft activity

Archive Experience

• Times: 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm
• Cost: £4 per person
• Age: suitable for 8 years. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by a paying adult. Participating children under 8 will still need to pay.
• Type of workshop: archive talk

Roald Dahl Countryside Trail

• Times: 11.30am, 1pm, 3pm
• Cost: £4 per person
• Age: suitable for 5 years. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult. Participating children aged 2 to 4 years will still need to pay.
• Type of workshop: Walk. Footpaths might be muddy and are steep in places. Please come dressed appropriately for the weather.
