Event Details

Using traditional or contemporary Indian wooden printing blocks, you will decorate a large cotton tea towel whilst learning how to apply the water-based fabric paint, how to get reliable results every time and how to care for your wooden blocks.

You will start by practising the technique and design before printing the tea towel, then you will heat-set the paint using a hot iron, or pop it in the tumble dryer. Five minutes later, you will have a beautiful, unique and functional item that is
washable at 40 deg C – and, if you are speedy Gonzalez, you may even print more than one tea towel.

Julia will supply all materials at £2.00 per towel, payable directly to her on the day. Please bring an apron to protect your clothing.

All our workshops are run by talented tutors and include tea, coffee and biscuits

For more information on this workshop and to see the other classes that we have running go to our website or look to the tutor, Julia Philips website
