An introduction to Needlelace with Kay Dennis

Needlelace is a type of lace created using a needle and thread, with over 100 stitch patterns that are formed with a buttonhole stitch. The lace dates back to the 16th century and is thought to have originated in Italy.

Come and learn how to make this beautiful and delicate form of lace by making a simple leaf shape. Kay will show you how to lay the outline, how to do two different stitches and how to approach finishing techniques.

This session costs £15 and Kay will provide you with a kit with everything you need. Basic sewing skills are expected.

All our workshops are run by talented local artists, check out our website for more information and to be inspired by our upcoming classes.
