Come along to our jam packed creepy crawly home education session in Black Park. Suitable for ages 4- 7 (EYFS & KS1)
About this event
Linking to the curriculum the children will learn all about minibeasts! They will learn about their habitats, life cycles, adaptations and even get to make their own bug hotel out of recycled water bottles! They will go bug hunting, get creative and take part in a range of fun, educational activities. This session is suitable for ages 4- 7 (EYFS & KS1). Younger siblings are welcome to attend but are required to book a ticket. Under 1’s are free.
We have two sessions available on the 1st March. Each session last two hours.
Please bring with you a large bottle e.g 2L water/drinks bottle or a milk bottle to transform into a bug hotel!
This session will take place outdoors in our forest school area within Black Park. Children will also get the chance to play in our mud kitchen and digging pit! Not only is outdoor learning great for physical and mental health, but it’s also great fun! Children will get to engage with the planet and explore nature, whilst working towards improved language and communication skills, increased self-esteem and confidence, increased motivation and greater concentration.
We go ahead in all weathers - unless deemed unsafe - so please dress appropriately!
