Event Details
Have some hands-on fun with clay, and make a bird inspired by Roald Dahl's books.
There are lots of birds in Roald Dahl's books, including our favourite - the Roly-Poly Bird! You'll find out some fascinating facts about these flying characters, before getting stuck in with clay. You'll shape and mold your own bird out of clay with a some guidance from our workshop leader, using what you've found out to inspire your design. In the end, you'll have a great keepsake from the Museum to take away with you.
The best bit? You don’t have to clean up afterwards! (But it might be best to wear some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty…)
Times: 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.00pm
Cost: £3 per participant. Adults are welcome to pay to make their own. Price does not include Museum entry which you will also need to book to take part in the workshop.
Age: suitable for 5 years. Under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult (no more than two non-participating adults will be allowed in the room per group). Participating children under 5 years will still need to pay.
Type of workshop: craft workshop - you might get messy! All materials will supplied.
Booking: you can book Museum entry and workshops online up until the day before (subject to availability). Workshop options will appear after selecting your Museum admission.
