Looking to set yourself a challenge for 2020? Sign up to Ride Chartridge, one of Buckinghamshire’s most beautiful & challenging rides before 31st January 2020 and get an early bird discount. The race will take place on 17th May 2020 and offers three routes: 16km Family Ride, 50km Red Run and a 100km Black Run.
- The Family Ride:
Already regarded as one of most family friendly events in the region, this year’s edition will also include a guided cycle event for children, called ‘The Family Ride’. Taking in ten miles of beautiful local countryside, the route will be fully signed and include a feed station.
- The Red Run
The ‘Red Run’ is a relaxed and entertaining ride that will suit all abilities and can be ridden on mountain bikes or hybrids – so no need to rush out and buy an expensive new road bike, (unless you so desire!). This route will be hilly and provides a fantastic introduction to sportive-riding.
- The Black Run
The ‘Black Run’ is a dramatic ‘modern-century’ through the Chiltern hills. This route will provide the best experience for riders on road-bikes of mixed abilities. An excellent challenge that most riders will be able to achieve providing they put in regular training.
Everyone who takes part can look forward to a clearly signed route, a well-stocked lunch stop, a text-based timing service, event photographs and a goody-bag. All routes provide an excellent way to enjoy the local scenery, meet new riders and raise money for Chartridge Primary School.
The school will again host a kids’ festival on the day, which will include many different activities for everybody to take part in.
