We went to Denham Country Park for the first time today, having seen an event listing on here for the Christmas Holiday Orienteering.

The park is ok but I dont think that we will rushing back there again in a hurry. The main reason is the noise from the nearby motorways (I felt more like I was in inner London than in Bucks :)). The kids did enjoy the orienteering though (it cost £1 for a map from the visitor centre) and would say it would be most enjoyable for children aged 4+ You follow the map and answer questions along the way so it was educational. The staff in the cafe were very friendly, although we didn't eat there. I think its worth going to the park if there is a special event / activity on but if you're looking for a scenic walk with a playground head to Black Park or Langley Park.

It cost £2.50 to park for the whole day. Annual parking permits can be bought though and they include Black Park, Langley Park and Denham Country Park.
