CHESHAM CHRISTMAS TOY BANK
Christmas is such a magical time, and nothing better than seeing excited children open presents on Christmas Day morning. Unfortunately not every child will be getting lots of presents, and that is nothing to do with being naughty or nice, but due to the fact that mummy and daddy are living on a very tight budget. They love their children and want to give them a special Christmas, but the purse is saying no!
We take great pleasure in introducing you to Chesham Toy Bank! These elves will be gathering toys so that parents or carers can come into the special Elf shop and select something for their children. Gifts will be wrapped and given to them, ensuring every child in Chesham has something fabulous to open on Christmas Day.
Poverty is a huge issue in the UK, but thanks to Claire Rooney and her team of elves, 500 children in Chesham living below the poverty line will get a gift. Claire and Santa are working very hard putting this all together, and more details such as shop location and donation points will be released during the coming weeks.
We are also looking for volunteers who can man and collect toys from donation points, sort the toys at our collection centre on Nashleigh Hill, man the shop and people who can sew so that 500 stockings can be made. If you can help in anyway, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or join the elves on their Facebook page.
Please, please support this campaign, let us work together and give EVERY child the Christmas they deserve.
