CALLING ALL HOUSE AND GARDEN LOVERS

houseandgardenshowThe first Henley House & Garden Show will take place on Saturday 28th February (10am-6pm) and Sunday 1st March (11am-4pm) in various venues throughout Henley. The new event, which is FREE to attend, will dominate the town centre providing an exciting showcase of inspirational house and garden ideas.

There will be an all-weather marquee erected in the paved market place for furniture and garden exhibits, multiple rooms in the historic Town Hall for speakers and exhibitors, plus the use of two adjacent gallery spaces for more exhibits and workshops.

The emphasis will be on luxury high-end design, professional services and quality products. In addition there will be a number of fascinating speakers from the British Institute of Interior Design, Farrow & Ball, the Society of Garden Designers, as well as Julia Kendell celebrity designer from DIY SOS. Creative workshops for adults and children and demos are also being held in various galleries and showrooms, and a red Routemaster bus will take visitors around town. The highlight of the show promises to be the ‘Home Décor Fashion Show’ that will take place on the Saturday afternoon. Men and women from the town’s sporting clubs will be modelling home décor and furniture down a fake turf runway while overhead a spectacular light show will take place. The show is in aid of The Chiltern Centre, a ‘home from home’ for disabled children and funds raised will go towards creating a multi sensory room in this invaluable, local respite centre.
