It is that time of the year when Pet owners start to pamper their dogs with extra grooming as they are prepared for the ever popular dog show at the Beaconsfield Country Fayre !
There is another opportunity for Hound to be pitted against Hound in a friendly contest under various classes from Pedigree Classes to the Dog with the Waggiest Tail. Despite the rain last, the Dog Show at the Beaconsfield Country Show proved its popularity with many dogs taking part, all vying for the coveted Straid Cup for the Best Dog in Show.
Commenting on the Dog Show, Sylvia Jones, Co-Chair of the Beaconsfield Country Fayre said, “It was great to see so many dogs being entered last year despite the weather not being very friendly and this year there are ten classes to choose from. There is the ever popular class for the pet that looks like its owner which has owners dressing up as dogs to improve there chances of winning, and it was nice to see some old “Sea” dogs being entered in the Seniors class!”
The Beaconsfield Country Fayre will this year be on August Bank Holiday, Monday, 29th August from 11 am to 4pm in Windsor End Beaconsfield. For more details, please visit the Website www.beaconsfieldcountryfayre.org where an application form for the Dog Show can be downloaded. Application forms can also be found on the Adults and Children’s Stretcher races which will once again be the main events at the Fayre.
