The Theatre Shed needs your VOTE
The Theatre Shed, which has been inspiring children and young adults through innovative and inclusive theatre in our community for years, needs your vote to keep on doing the good work they’re doing.
The Chesham-based charity, mostly run by volunteers, has transformed the lives of many children who’ve had countless doors slammed in their faces. About 60% of the members have some form of disability. They’ve just celebrated their 10th anniversary, but unless they raise £20,000 by the end of September 2015, they may have to close their doors for good.
One of the simple ways in which you can help is to VOTE for The Theatre Shed to help them stand a chance to secure funds from the Aviva Community Fund. The fund will offer support and funding to the projects with the most votes.
All you have to do to help is register on the site and cast your 10 votes – you can spread them around or use them all to support The Theatre Shed. Click here to place your VOTE.
Voting closes on the 31st of May, so please hurry up and cast your votes to help save the Theatre Shed.
A mum of one of the children says: “Ever since my daughter Joanne, who has special needs, joined The Theatre Shed eight years ago, it has been one of the highlights of her week. Joanne feels that she belongs, she feels happy, accepted, secure and involved. As well as enjoying the singing, dancing and acting, she can join in knowing that her participation is valued.”
