Friday September 28 sees the start of the autumn term for classes in Lipreading and Managing Hearing Loss held at Wendover Community Library. Space available in the class starting at 1.30pm. The classes are run by qualified lipreading teacher Judy Perry who has a hearing loss herself.
People who lose their hearing can also lose confidence, sometimes leading to isolation and depression. These classes teach what sounds look similar on the lips which helps with communication. They also provide information on equipment that can help and useful coping strategies. Best of all, everyone is in the same boat and understands the challenges faced. Classes are two hours long (with a 20 minute break); cost for a 10 week term is £90. FIRST LESSON FREE!
