Thursday 8th and 23rd August from 10am to approx 12noon
£15 per adult & child pair, £5 extra child
We are delighted to be able to run two extra special Forest School sessions during the Summer holidays with the help of the brilliant from Nature’s Jewels. Jools is an expert in outdoor forest school teaching at a number of different schools across Buckinghamshire. The sessions are ideal for children aged from 5-13 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The sessions will start with a welcome around the fire circle, boundaries will be identified and things to keep ourselves, our friends and the environment safe.
There will be a craft activities including woodland bling making, marshmallow roasting, fire lighting skills, learning how to use tools, hapa zome and bug hunting. Due to the nature of the sessions a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children max is necessary for safety reasons (i.e. fire/tools etc.)
NB for parents of pre-schoolers and toddlers. You are welcome to bring younger children, who will be able to use the digging area for mud play, make muddy paint for the trees, play on the swing and hammock and play with the selection of books and outdoor toys but with additional older children also present they will need to stay near an adult at all times, so in that respect they won’t be as ‘free’ as at the usual toddler/pre-schooler Forest Pay that we run.
